Foot Pain First Thing in the Morning?
by Admin
Sharp heel pain on your first steps in the morning is the classic sign of plantar fasciitis — and one of the most common conditions we treat.
The plantar fascia is a thick band of tissue running along the bottom of the foot. When inflamed, it tightens overnight and stretches painfully when you take your first morning steps.
What Causes Plantar Fasciitis
Sudden increases in activity, tight calf muscles, poor footwear, and biomechanical overload all contribute. Most cases respond well to early intervention.
What to Do at Home
Gentle calf and foot stretches before getting out of bed, supportive footwear, and avoiding prolonged barefoot walking on hard floors are good first steps.
Clinical Treatment
Custom orthotics, shockwave therapy and manual therapy are highly effective for chronic cases that don't resolve with home care alone.
